Tesla Model Y Paint Protection

The Tesla Model Y is the vehicle we protect most often at Flex Auto Care Studio, and there's a reason. Tesla's paint is thin, applied over aluminum in a highly automated line, and the Model Y's front end catches an enormous amount of highway debris. Without protection, the hood, bumper, mirrors and fenders develop rock chips and stone marks within the first thousand miles.

Our standard Model Y package is a Track Package in 3M or XPEL PPF (full hood, full front bumper, mirrors, A-pillars, headlights, rocker leading edges and door cups) paired with a Gtechniq ceramic coating on the remaining panels. That combination gives you unmatched rock-chip protection where you need it, and up to 5 years of chemical, UV and water-spot resistance everywhere else.

For Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley Model Y owners, we also strongly recommend a 3M Ceramic IR windshield film and Color Stable side-window tint. The Model Y's oversized glass roof and near-vertical windshield mean the cabin heats aggressively without film — Ceramic IR drops interior temperatures dramatically without darkening the glass.

We use precut kits designed specifically for the current-generation Model Y — no razor blades on the vehicle, no lifted edges, no visible film seams on the hood. Every install is inspected under 6000K lighting before delivery.

Book before you take delivery when possible. We coordinate directly with the Duarte, Burbank and Century City Tesla service centers to pick up new vehicles, protect them immediately and deliver them to you fully installed.
