Tesla paint is famously thin and soft, meaning it swirls easily and chips fast on the 210, 134 and 110 freeways. Every Tesla we protect at Flex is measured with a coating-thickness gauge and corrected under high-CRI inspection lighting before PPF and ceramic are applied.
For Model S and Model 3 Performance: full-front PPF (bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, A-pillars, rocker leading edges, door cups) is the standard. Full-vehicle recommended for daily commuters and Plaid owners.
For Model Y and Model X: full-front minimum; SUV geometry means additional rocker and door-cup coverage is highly recommended.
For Cybertruck: satin-finish stainless requires specialized care. We stock stainless-safe products and can install PPF over painted panels and accent pieces.
